Harbor Springs Library Used Book Sale Goes Through the Weekend

The Harbor Springs Library has been operating since 1894, and it needs your help to make sure it can still keep its doors open.

The library is doing their used book sale, which started Wednesday and goes through Sunday. The money raised will be going toward its operating cost.

The Harbor Springs Library is not funded by the government or fees. Instead, it’s funded through the community, making events like this weekend important.

“It’s not just in the revenue, but it gets people in the door, they see what we have, they see the services that we provide, and it gets a lot of people involved in the library and using our services, and that’s what we’re here for,” Tom Steckert, the Harbor Springs Library Assistant, said.

Anyone looking for a good read this summer will only have to spend $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hard cover books.
