Names of People Killed, Injured in Isabella County Car Crash Released

Michigan State Police have released the names of two people who were killed and one person who was injured in a car crash in Isabella County on Sunday afternoon.

On Sunday, a 75-year-old Ithaca man was driving south on South Summerton Road when he didn’t stop at a stop sign and collided with another car heading east on East Blanchard Road.

The driver of the eastbound car, Kenneth Arnold, 71, of Lambertville and the back-seat passenger, Helen Thrush, 91, of Fremont died in the crash. The front-seat passenger, Teresa Arnold, of Lambertville is in critical condition at a local hospital, according to troopers.

The driver of the southbound car is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital and his name will not be released at this time, MSP stated in a release Tuesday.

The incident will be reviewed by the Isabella County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
