Pine River School Board Punishes Three Students Over Allegations of Bullying and Harassment

The Pine River School Board handed down punishments to three students after canceling part of its last football season over .

The decision was made on May 9.

The district said in an email that one student has completed their suspension and was eligible to go to school. That student must do 10 hours of service to the district or face ineligibility for half of the upcoming fall sports season.

A second student was suspended until the start of the upcoming school year and will be ineligible for half of the fall sports season. They must also do 20 hours of service to the district or they’re be ineligible for the entire fall season.

A third student was expelled until the start of the second semester of the upcoming school year and won’t be eligible for the entire fall and winter sports seasons.

State Police are still investigating.
