An Alpena man has been charged with criminal sexual conduct after sexually abusing a minor under the age of 13, according to Michigan State Police.
In January, a woman reported an alleged sexual assault her child, who told her that she had been sexually abused between January 2017 and July 2018.
Johnathan Beatty, 38, of Alpena, was arrested June 15. A search of his home found that he, a convicted felon, had firearms and ammunition when he was not supposed to.
Beatty was charged Thursday morning on two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim under 13, one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of possession of ammunition by a felon.
Beatty is expected back in court in mid-June.
