CPR & AED Awareness Week: What Everyone Needs to Know
Would you know what to do if someone’s heart stopped beating while you were having dinner or watching TV together? Too many people don’t do CPR in the event of a cardiac arrest in the home, and we all play a role in changing that.
Each year, June 1-7 is National CPR and AED Awareness Week. The goal is to spotlight how lives can be saved if more Americans know CPR and how to use an AED.
Did you know about 70 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes? If you are called on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love. Be the difference for your parent, spouse, or child.
