Cherry Capital Comic Con Kicks Off Festivities at Grand Traverse Resort

If you’re not binge-watching “Obi-Wan Kenobi” or “Stranger Things” this weekend, you can make your way over to Grand Traverse Resort.

The Cherry Capital Comic Con started Friday, and it’s a great way for adults and kids to gather and celebrate their fandoms.

Online ticket sales have ended, but you can purchase yours at the door.

The comic-con goes until Sunday.

“There’s nothing better than when you go to cons and not only would you, you know, sales and stuff like that but you get people that come and they’re like ‘I love your stuff!’ Then you get to meet new familiar faces and then when they see you again at a con: ‘you were out there in Traverse City!’ or this, that and the third so it’s like yeah it’s a really good feeling,” said Dave Brown, an artist and storyteller from Detroit.

You can catch Brown with his artwork and 9&10’s Michael Stevens with the One Up XP Show set up at this weekend’s comic con.
