A Williamsburg man was charged Wednesday with criminal sexual conduct, according to Michigan State Police.
In October 2021, troopers received a referral from child protective services about an alleged sexual assault.
According to Michigan State Police, the victim had told her parent that she had been sexually abused and that the abuse had happened from 2014 to 2018.
Troopers say the victim knew the suspect, who was living in the same house for part of the time.
William Hedrick, 23, of Williamsburg, was arrested and charged with one count of second degree criminal sexual conduct, along with one count of criminal sexual conduct assault with intent to commit penetration.
Hedrick is expected back in court in mid-June.
