Two Arrested for Operating, Maintaining Meth Lab in Emmet County

Two people from Harbor Springs were arrested last Friday for operating and maintaining a meth lab at a home in Pleasant View Township, according to Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement.

On May 9, SANE got a call from the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office about a possible meth lab. When a search warrant was executed that night, detectives found meth, equipment, hazardous waste from manufacturing meth, drug paraphernalia and other evidence inside the home. Both suspects were not home at the time, according to SANE.

On May 13, detectives found and arrested Kevin Bower, 48, of Harbor Springs, for two counts of operating and maintaining a meth lab, one count of attempted delivery/manufacturing meth, one count pf possession of meth and one count of purchasing pseudoephedrine to make meth. SANE detectives also found meth pipes inside his car when it was seized.

The other suspect, Angel Krueger, 50, of Harbor Springs, was found at a motel room in Pellston along with a semi-automatic handgun that had the serial numbers ground off, meth, suboxone and other evidence connected to distributing or using meth.

Krueger was arrested for two counts of operating and maintaining a meth lab, one count of possession of meth, one count of felony firearm, one count pf possession of buprenorphine and one count of felony firearm/purchase of pseudoephedrine to make meth.

Bower and Krueger have both been lodged in Emmet County Jail.
