Crash Between Car and Semi-Tractor Trailer Closes M-37, Minor Injuries Sustained

A crash between a semi-tractor trailer and a car occurred on North M-37 and West 16 Road around 11 a.m. in Wexford County.

Deputies say the car was attempting a left turn onto M-37 and pulled into the path of a semi-tractor trailer. The collision caused the tractor trailer, loaded with logs, to jack knife.

The driver of the car was transported to the nearest hospital with minor injuries, according to the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office. Two other passengers in the car suffered minor injures, but did not have to go to the hospital.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured, deputies say.

M-37 was closed for about four hours while the logs were moved from the tractor trailer to another and the semi was towed from the scene.
