Man Charged With Assault With Dangerous Weapon After Marion Shooting

A Marion man has been charged with assault with dangerous weapon after he shot another man in Marion on Sunday night, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers say they were sent to a shooting on Main Street in Marion at 6:45 p.m.

They say the victim was taken to a local hospital and is recovering from his injuries. The suspect, 36-year-old Dale Orvis, has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

The reason behind the shooting is not yet known, and the incident remains under investigation.
