A Beulah woman has been arrested for having meth after Michigan State Police say they found her unresponsive in a Benzie County motel room.
Troopers say Misty Branch, 39, of Beulah rented a room for the night in a motel on US-31 in Benzonia Township, but did not check out.
They say the motel’s manager went to check on her but got no response. The manager then called Michigan State Police and emergency personnel who were able to revive Branch.
Troopers say they found pipes for meth and marijuana, lighters, and several knives on the motel bed, along with a small bag containing suspected meth.
Branch is expected back in court in mid-May.
