A 28-year-old Cadillac woman has been charged with assault and battery after Michigan State Police say she attacked a Cadillac gas station employee in late March.

MSP say the victim told troopers that a woman walked into the gas station on March 30, bought a Mountain Dew and asked “Do you have a problem with me?”

The woman then left but came back a little while later, looking around the store before going behind the counter, assaulting the employee and knocking her phone out of her hand as she was calling 911. Surveillance video showed the woman leaving in a silver car that was waiting outside.

Troopers tried to find the woman, 28-year-old Chalicia Argo of Cadillac, and an arrest warrant was issued.

Argo was found by the MSP 7th District Fugitive Team on Monday in the Cadillac Walmart parking lot. Troopers say she was driving the same silver car last seen leaving the gas station.

Argo was charged Tuesday on one count assault and battery, one count interfering with an electronic communication device and habitual offender fourth offense notice. She is expected back in court in mid-May.
