Lieutenant Chris Oosse Retires from Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office After 28 Years

Lieutenant Chris Oosse from the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office is retiring after nearly 30 years of service.

He started working in 1994 and says the brotherhood throughout the years has been his most memorable experience. Although he is retiring, Oosse is looking forward to continuing being part of the Grand Traverse community.

“I was pretty much raised here and it was good to work with the community; coaching football and baseball up through the last 15 years and I’m just proud to be part of Grand Traverse County,” said Oosse. “I wish it very well and I’ll be part of the community for a long time.”

After 28 years in service Oosse says he plans on doing a lot more fishing, and says he’s excited for the next adventure.
