Safety Net Recycling E-Waste in Downtown Traverse City

Many organizations are continuing to celebrate Earth Week.

On Tuesday, Safety Net held an E-Waste Drive outside Honor Bank in downtown Traverse City, where they received many truckloads of old, electronic devices.

“The purpose is to recycle the equipment responsibly,” said Tom Wyatt, Director of Client Relations at Safety Net.

Wyatt says they collected just about every device they could think of.

“We’ve had some oddball things like microwaves, things like that, but mainly laptops, printers, computers, old phones, cell phones, iPads, Kindles, things like that,” said Wyatt.

Everything is being taken to Goodwill Tuesday night to be recycled.
