Mud, Sweat and Beers Mountain Bike Race Coming To Mt. Holiday May 7th

Short’s Brewing Company’s Mud, Sweat and Beers Mountain Bike Race is coming to Mt. Holiday.

The event, which benefits Mt. Holiday and area civic groups such as: Downs Syndrome of Northwest Michigan, TC St. Francis Band and Choir, TC Central and West cross-country teams, ski teams and the Boy Scouts, will be held on Saturday, May 7.

The following races will begin behind Mt. Holiday’s ski lodge at 9 a.m. on May 7:

  • Stout 22-mile race, presented by Fox Motors Grand Traverse
  • Pale Ale 10-mile race, presented by McLain Cycle & Fitness
  • Ginger Ale 2-mile race
  • Root Beer kiddie race at 1 p.m.

All races will end behind Mt. Holiday’s ski lodge at the Max’s Services Mud Pit.

To date, the race has sold out every year and has raised more than $600,000 for the ski hill, which is one of two non-profit ski hills remaining in the Midwest.
