Gradually Changing Temperatures Mean Big Changes In Weather

We’ve seen some big climate changes in just the last 10 years.

But we can look back all the way to the late 1800’s.

The average global temperature then was around 12.7 degrees Celsius.

Over the next 100 years, we’ve seen that average rise to about 14.87 Celsius.

That doesn’t seem like a lot, but with that warm up comes more extreme weather.

The rate of change is the main concern.

From 1910-1990, only about 20% of the U.S. faced extreme weather conditions.

Now, that’s up to almost 30%.

That means more droughts, floods, fires, tornadoes and hurricanes.
