Cherry Bombspiel Curling Tournament Comes Back After Three Year Hiatus

The Cherry Bombspiel is back after a three-year hiatus.

The curling tournament is taking place this weekend at Centre Ice in Traverse City. It’s hosted by the TC Curling Club, and teams from all around are competing, even some Olympic gold medalists.

The winning team will take the Cherry Bombspiel trophy home and have the honor of leading the opening ceremony in March next year.

“You can see everyone’s out here having a great time and after 2 years of a pandemic, playing together, being together, enjoying camaraderie; there’s nothing better,” said Cara Colburn, President of the Traverse City Curling Club.

The tournament ends Sunday and is free for all spectators.
