An Alpena man is now a millionaire after winning in the Michigan Lottery’s Mega Millions drawing on April 8.
45-year-old Jason Fletcher matched five white Mega Millions balls, 08-11-29-32-40, winning $1 million after buying his ticket at the Hillman EZ Mart on M-32.
“I buy a Mega Millions ticket every once in a while,” said Fletcher. “I checked my ticket the morning after the drawing and when I saw I had matched five numbers, I didn’t know what to think. It was a jaw-dropping moment. Me and my family looked the ticket over several times to make sure I wasn’t missing something.”
Fletcher has claimed his prize at the Lottery Headquarters, and says he plans to use his winnings to pay bills and invest.
