Two Men Sentenced for Hijacking Charges After Taking Plea Deal in Alpena County

Two men in Alpena County have been sentenced for charges related to an alleged hijacking in September.

Joshua Wirgau and Brad Srebnik are pleading guilty to a firearms possession charge. In exchange, Alpena County Prosecutor Cynthia Muszynski dropped unlawful imprisonment charges.

The pair were accused of holding a tow truck driver at gunpoint and have both been sentenced to two years in prison.

Officials have already named Wirgau and Srebnik as persons of interest in a separate case: the deaths of Abby Hill and Brynn Bills.

The women were found dead in Alpena Township last year, and Bill’s remains were found on Wirgau’s property.

But more than six months after their deaths, no one has been charged.
