MSP: Cadillac Man Charged After Stealing $560 Worth of Items from Walmart
A Cadillac man has been charged after stealing multiple items totaling about $560 dollars between two thefts at Cadillac’s Walmart.
Michigan State Police say in Dec., troopers from the MSP Cadillac Post were called to Walmart for retail fraud. A Walmart Associate told troopers that they saw Gary Hagstrom, 44, and Johna McNamara, 40, both of Cadillac, steal items on two occasions.
In Nov., McNamara stole a grill valued at $250 and Hagstrom stole a tire worth $61. Troopers say Hagstrom recently stole a laptop worth $499.
Troopers say a report was filed to the Wexford County Prosecutor’s Office for review, and arrest warrants were issued. McNamara turned herself in at the Wexford County Courthouse and was charged March 24 on two misdemeanor charges of second degree retail fraud.
Hagstrom was arrested Thursday at a Cadillac home, and was charged Friday on one count first degree retail fraud along with a habitual offender fourth offense notice. He is expected back in court in May.
