It’s Easter weekend and we have some fun activities to do around Michigan to celebrate.

Emmet County Fairgrounds Egg Scramble

If you’re looking for some local Easter fun this weekend, you’ll want to head to the Emmet County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 16 for their annual Fairgrounds Egg Scramble! Kicking off at 11 a.m., this is sure to be a day of fun that kids and adults alike will enjoy. Bring your own baskets for exciting egg hunts, food, and much more, courtesy of the Emmet County Parks and Recreation department.

Lift Your Spirits in Bay Harbor

You won’t want to miss the first Lift Your Spirits events in Bay Harbor’s Downtown Village, celebrating several Michigan distillers. On Friday, April 22, enjoy a five-course fine dining experience, where each course will be paired perfectly with a Michigan craft distilled spirit or cocktail. The evening will also feature live jazz music with a “speak-easy” theme – so don’t forget to dress in your finest vintage attire! Saturday, April 23 will be the larger tasting event, where you’ll be able to stroll through a selection of Michigan distillers for tastings of their hand-crafted selections. Be sure to get your tickets early to both of these events, so you won’t miss out on the fun.

Lake Michigan Lighthouse Map and Circle Tour

If you’re interested in the lighthouses that surround Lake Michigan, you’ll want to pick up a copy of the new Lake Michigan Lighthouse Map and Circle Tour! Just released for 2022, it folds out to a poster-sized map of Lake Michigan, and shows all of the over-100 lighthouses you’ll find around the lake. This year’s map features South Haven Lighthouse on the cover, courtesy of photographer Dan Zeeff, and you can request a free copy by mail, or view the map digitally at .
