MDOT: I-75 Sign and Guardrail Updates to Start April 19

Signs and guardrails on I-75 north of St. Ignace to south of Sault Ste. Marie in Mackinac and Chippewa Counties will be upgraded beginning next Monday, says the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).

MDOT says their $3.3 million investment includes upgrades to about 57 miles of freeway signs, overhead sign structures, guardrails and reflective roadside delineators to improve sign visibility and increase safety for drivers.

One lane will be open at all times in both directions on I-75 during the day, and the project is expected to be finished by Oct. 14.
