Registered dietitian and health and wellness spokesperson for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Shanthi Appelo joined us live to talk all things brunch. Brunch is not only a sociable event, it also puts a twist on the most important meal of the day. But not all brunch food is healthy, and can be filled with items like cheeseburgers, fried chicken and waffles, large portions of potatoes, syrupy entrees, and not to mention the drinks…like bloody Marys and mimosas.
