A 17-Year-Old Was Severely Injured In A Mecosta County Crash
Mecosta County Deputies were called to a two vehicle crash just after noon on Saturday.
A Howard City man was driving east on Jefferson Rd.
He was attempting to turn North on 200th Ave. when he was hit by a 17-year-old in an SUV who was driving west on Jefferson Rd.
A 17-year-old backseat passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the SUV after it rolled several times.
Both the 17-year-old front seat passenger and the 17-year-old driver were wearing seatbelts and had no injuries.
A backseat passenger was transported to Devos Hospital in Grand Rapids with serious Injuries.
The man in the other vehicle involved in the crash had minor injuries and refused treatment.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the accident.
