Cadillac Alano Club Looking for New Home

Members of the Alano Club in Cadillac say they’re closing their doors—temporarily.

Pic0 6An Alano Club is a space set aside for meetings for twelve step recovery programs.

The club members say they’ve been at that location for 26 years.

Recently, attendance of the 12 step recovery meetings has dropped, especially since the pandemic.

The club relies on donations from these meetings to pay rent and utilities, but without the normal number of donations, they say it became too expensive to keep up the building.

“It may be a turn over a new leaf,” said Alano Club member Matthew Deverney. “Maybe somebody has something that they can offer us or donate that we could keep running.”

Club members are looking for a new place, locally, to hold meetings.
