Cadillac Mayor’s Art Award Now Open for Artist Entries

Artists are now able to enter Cadillac’s annual Mayor’s Art Award for the 2022 year.

The 38th annual Mayor’s Art Award is scheduled to happen July 15, which is the opening day for the Cadillac Festival of Arts happening on July 15 and 16 at the Cadillac City Park and Pavilion.

The competition is open to artists from the following northwest Michigan counties, Wexford, Missaukee, Manistee, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Emmet, Charlevoix, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Lake, Osceola and Antrim.

Entries can be any art style, but there can only be one entry per person.  All entries will be on display in the park from 3 to 6 p.m. on July 15.

The first place prize is $450 and the artwork will be displayed in the Cadillac Municipal Complex.

Second place will be a prize of $100 and third place will be given $50.

Entry forms are available at the Municipal Complex in Cadillac and on the City’s website. Completed forms must be returned to the Municipal Complex by noon on Friday, July 15 for the artist to be eligible to enter the competition.

Artwork needs to be dropped off at the Mayor’s Art Award tent between 2 and 3 p.m. that same day for judging.
