A 40-year-old woman from Wolverine has been arrested for larceny in a building in Otsego County, according to Michigan State Police.

In Nov. 2021, troopers from the MSP Gaylord Post were called to a home in Otsego Lake Township for a reported theft.

According to the homeowner, Patricia Hamsher, 40, of Wolverine was asked to watch the house and her dog while she was out of town in Oct.

However, when the homeowner returned, she noticed items were missing from her home.

Many of the items stolen were found at a local pawn shop and were recovered by troopers, but several other items were unaccounted for.

A report was turned over to the Otsego County Prosecutor’s Office, and an arrest warrant was authorized on Feb. 10.

Troopers say Hamsher was arrested at her home on Feb. 18 and lodged in the Otsego County Jail where she bonded out.

Hamsher was arraigned Monday in the 87-A District Court in Otsego County for one county larceny in a building and habitual offender fourth offense.

Hamsher is expected back in court in early April.
