Mid Michigan Big Brothers Big Sisters Raise $59 Thousand Last Week

Mid Michigan Big Brothers Big Sisters raised a little over $59 thousand at an auction they had last week.

The community showed tremendous support during this event. Many businesses in the area donated to the auction. There were also several items that sold and then continued to be donated back to be sold again showing the incredible community support to this valued program.

“This money goes toward help building our mentoring program. What we try to do is create mentorships between adults and youth to bolster them and give them that positive influence that they need,” said Dan Manley, Executive Director of Mid Michigan Big Brothers Big Sisters.

The event is held every year at the Doherty Hotel in Clare and the public is welcome to come and show their support for a program that affects so many youth in a positive way.
