Seniors At Curry House Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

Senior citizens and staff at the Curry House in Cadillac celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. Everyone was decked out in their best green attire, ready to party.

The celebration featured green beer, punch, and different games for the senior citizens to participate in. The assisted living home event crowned a princess and king for the afternoon.

The Curry House said they enjoy hosting creative events for their residents.

“I decided to crown a king and a queen, a king and a princess,” said Michelle Reichert, Curry House Resident Experience Director. “At this point, the women who won, her name is Nancy. She’s been with us for a little while. When she won and everyone clapped for her and said, ‘you’re our princess,’ she cried. She says, ‘you know what? I’ve never, ever been pretty, I’ve never won anything. I feel beautiful today.”

The Curry House encourages people who want to give back, to come and visit their residents.
