Char-Em ISD, North Central Michigan College Partnered for Career Day

The Char-Em ISD partnered with North Central Michigan College to hold a career day for local students.

Booths were set up around the building and even spilled outside with a number of future career fields represented. Everything from the military, to mechanical engineering, to culinary arts were on hand.

The goal of the event was to give students a head start before they graduate.

“It really helps them to learn what’s in our area and what’s available to them so that once they move into their junior and senior year, they’re able to start thinking about ‘ok what sort of credential do I need to ear. Where do I need to go to get the education I need in order to enter the workforce,” said Corey Lansing, the Director of Admissions for North Central Michigan College.

Around five hundred students attended today’s career fair.
