Michigan health officials are reporting 1,540 new coronavirus cases and 118 deaths since Monday.
According to the MDHHS, between Tuesday and Wednesday, the average number of new cases per day is 770.
Additionally, they say 107 of the 118 deaths reported Wednesday were identified during a review of vital records.
In total, Michigan has had 2,068,817 confirmed coronavirus cases and 32,561 total confirmed covid-related deaths.
As of Friday, 5,665,081 Michiganders ages five and older have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
As of Monday, 6,635,406 Michiganders ages 16 and older have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
As of Jan. 20, 1,421,905 Michiganders have been reported to have recovered from COVID-19.
