Michigan health officials are reporting 1,739 new coronavirus cases and 240 deaths since Monday.
According to the MDHHS, between Tuesday and Wednesday, the average number of new cases per day is 870.
Additionally, 220 of the 240 deaths reported Wednesday were identified during a review of vital records.
In total, Michigan has had 2,064,093 confirmed coronavirus cases and 32,374 total confirmed covid-related deaths.
As of Tuesday, 5,655,530 Michiganders ages five and older have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As of Monday, 6,627,199 Michiganders ages 16 and older have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
