Ludington Tourism Rebounds in 2021

Ludington area tourism has rebounded from the pandemic.

They’ve passed pre-pandemic income levels, with room rental income at an all-time high.

Mason County lodging properties generated the highest income in the county’s history, 27.7% higher than pre-pandemic levels in 2019.

With more people staying in hotels, more people are shopping and visiting restaurants, resulting in tourism making a full recovery.

“Having outdoor opportunities, whether it was on trails or beaches or camping, people certainly flock to areas like Ludington,” said Brandy Miller, executive director of Ludington Visitor’s Bureau.

Ludington’s tourism is expected to be even higher in 2022.
