A Belding woman was injured in a single-car crash in Montcalm County early Sunday, according to the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday morning around 2:11 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a single-car crash near the intersection of South Greenville Road and West Dickerson Lake Road in Montcalm Township.
When they arrived, deputies found the driver, a 44-year-old Belding woman, complaining of injuries.
Their investigation revealed that the woman, who was driving a 2020 Dodge Challenger, was traveling south on South Greenville Road near West Dickerson Lake Road when she lost control of the car and exited the roadway to the left, striking multiple trees.
Deputies say a seatbelt did not appear to be worn, and speed and alcohol appear to be factors.
The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries, and the crash remains under investigation.
