Michigan Health Officials Report 27,423 Coronavirus Cases, 379 Deaths

Michigan health officials are reporting 27,423 coronavirus cases and 379 deaths since Monday.

According to the MDHHS, between Tuesday and Wednesday, the average number of coronavirus cases per day is approximately 13,712.

Additionally, they state 268 of the 379 deaths reported Wednesday were identified during a review of vital records.

In total, Michigan has had 1,933,062 confirmed coronavirus cases and 29,605 total confirmed covid-related deaths.

As of Tuesday, 5,515,507 Michiganders ages five and older have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

On the other hand, 6,489,068 Michiganders ages 16 and older have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

According to Frontline UPdates JIC, 455 adult patients were admitted to Michigan hospitals with a positive covid status on Wednesday.

They say 65% of hospital admissions were unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, while 35% of admissions were reported to be fully vaccinated.

Furthermore, Frontline UPdates JIC says 3,903 adult patients and 94 pediatric patients are currently hospitalized with the coronavirus.

Of those 3,903 adult patients, 685 are currently occupying ICU beds with COVID-19, and 406 of those 685 patients in the ICU are currently on ventilators with the coronavirus.
