Michigan Health Officials Report 33,551 Coronavirus Cases, 210 Deaths

Michigan health officials are reporting 33,551 coronavirus cases and 210 deaths since Wednesday.

According to the MDHHS, between Thursday and Friday, the average number of new cases per day is approximately 16,776.

Additionally, they say 79 of the 210 deaths reported Friday were identified during a review of vital records.

In total, Michigan has had 1,866,267 confirmed coronavirus cases and 29,190 total confirmed covid-related deaths.

As of Friday, 5,503,616 Michiganders ages five and older have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

As of Thursday, 6,468,544 Michiganders ages sixteen and older have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

As of Jan. 14, 1,382,066 Michiganders are reported to have recovered from the coronavirus.

According to 4,173 adult patients and 113 pediatric patients are currently hospitalized with the coronavirus.

Of those 4,173 adult patients, 728 adult patients are occupying ICU beds with the coronavirus.

Of those 728 patients, 466 are currently on ventilators in the ICU with COVID-19.
