Two drivers have died and a passenger has been taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries following a two-car crash in Montcalm County, according to Michigan State Police.

On Monday around 1:23 p.m., troopers were dispatched to a two-car crash on Sidney Road east of Fitzner Road in Montcalm Township.

According to Michigan State Police, the driver of the pickup truck, a 67-year-old Edmore woman, and the driver of the Ford, a 64-year-old Edmore man, were both declared dead at the scene.

Troopers say the passenger of the Ford, a 66-year-old Edmore woman, was taken to a local hospital for treatment for life-threatening injuries.

At this time, Michigan State Police will not be releasing the names of the victims.
