“It was like a nine-item menu back in 2014 and now it’s grown, now we have burgers, we have entrees,” described the owner Bridge Street Taproom in Charlevoix, Aaron Hagen.

But the mac and cheese sandwich has been on the menu since day one.

Aaron created it as a kid while having too much fun experimenting in the kitchen.

“I put macaroni and cheese on a panini press, totally made a heck of a good mess, and through trial and error, this is what we came up with,” he laughed.

Earning a stamp of approval all the way around.

“They have amazing food,” said Bryan Timsak. “I started coming here as soon as they opened, their pizza oven makes some really nice pizzas.”

They make their pizza sauce in house.

“This little trusty pizza oven has been running at 550 for six years just cranking out pizzas at Bridge Street Taproom,”

Aaron grew up in Charlevoix.

“Being able to be in the community I love, anywhere you grow up holds a special place in your heart,” he said.

Now he’s giving back to the community that’s given so much to him by using what he calls the three pillars.

Those are great food….

“Best food in Charlevoix,” confirmed Brian.

Great beer…

“All their beers are really unique and they spend a lot of time and energy making it that way,” said Brian.

And great service.

“It’s like a staple at this point people just kind of flock in here,”  added Brian.
