U.S. Shatters Daily COVID-19 Case Record
The U.S. hit a record number of daily COVID-19 cases, with more than a million reported on Monday.
It’s the most any country has ever reported.
The more contagious Omicron variant is driving the record case numbers.
Monday’s numbers are nearly double the previous daily record, which was set just four days ago.
Health officials still say vaccines are the best way to stop COVID-19, but testing is key to slowing the spread of Omicron.
As cases climb, the Food and Drug Administration is recommending the Pfizer booster for more teens.
The FDA authorized the Pfizer booster for kids age 12 to 15 on Monday.
They also say to get your booster sooner, five months after your last shot instead of six.
