A filmmaker and his children have created a new documentary, highlighting women and winter sports.
“Counter Methods” was shown at Charlevoix Cinema III on Tuesday, and was attended by friends and family of the creators along with members of the community.
Viewers were given a complete cinematic experience, complete with refreshments.
The documentary follows director John Curtis’ daughter Nahli on a 20 day trip to Mount Bohemia in the Upper Peninsula.
They say the film’s message is raising strong women through winter sports.
The documentary’s , along with the ticket sales, will go towards Mt. McSauba in Charlevoix to get more kids onto the slopes.
