Michigan Health Officials Report 16,143 Coronavirus Cases, 160 Deaths

Michigan health officials are reporting 16,143 coronavirus cases and 160 deaths since Friday.

According to the MDHHS, between Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the average number of new cases per day is 5,381 per day.

Additionally, they say 36 of the 160 deaths reported Monday were identified during a review of vital records.

In total, Michigan has had 1,396,467 confirmed coronavirus cases and 25,240 total confirmed covid-related deaths.

Currently, 5,286,979 Michiganders ages five and older have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

6,218,729 Michiganders ages 16 and older have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

According to Frontline UPdates, 410 adult patients were admitted to Michigan hospitals on Monday with a positive COVID-19 status.

Broken down, the ages of admitted patients are as follows:

  • Pediatric: 16
  • 18-19: 0
  • 20-29: 19
  • 30-39: 35
  • 40-49: 46
  • 50-59: 61
  • 60-69: 91
  • 70-79: 72
  • 80+: 64
  • Age Unknown: 6
