Meetings To Be Held Wednesday On Proposed Septic Tank Replacement Project

The Two lake Collaborative Sewer Authority is making an effort to answer questions and stop rumors and misinformation about their proposal.

There’s a proposed project to replace septic tanks at homes around Bear Lake Township, Portage Lake Township and parts of Pleasanton Township.

Meetings about the community sewer project will be held this Wednesday to give people a chance to ask questions.

The project involves low pressure sewage treatment and collection.

The goal will be to provide as many answers as possible.

“The goal is to protect the watershed, protect the quality of the water of Portage and Bear Lake, and the health of the people who enjoy them,” said Tom Kramer of the Two Lake Collaborative Sewer Authority.

The first meeting will be Wednesday at Onekama High School at 3:30 p.m.

The second meeting will be at Bear Lake High School at 5:30 p.m.
