Hook and Hunting: Hunting and Trapping Opportunities in Michigan this Winter

While deer season is coming to an end, there is still plenty of time to get out and do some hunting.

That includes small game hunting, where Michiganders can still take ruffed grouse, rabbits, and squirrel.

According to the Michigan DNR, those are some of the most popular small game hunted throughout the season. All hunters need is their base license in order to head out and try their luck.

“Even in the winter months, as we get the snow and cooler temperatures, there’s still plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy some hunting and trapper seasons,” said Hannah Schauer, Communications and Education Coordinator with the DNR.
