Five people have been taken to the hospital for serious injuries, according to the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday at approximately 2:53 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a personal injury crash involving two cars on South Mackinaw Trail, south of East 32 Road.
Deputies say a Honda Civic driven by a 33-year-old Cadillac resident crossed the center line and collided head on with a Toyota 4 Runner.
They say all five occupants from the cars were taken to local hospitals after sustaining serious injuries.
Deputies say it is believed alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
