Winter Weather Advisory for Northern Lower Michigan
A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for portions of Northern Lower Michigan until 1:00 a.m. Monday morning.
Travel may be difficult tonight with ice accumulations and several inches of snow on the ground.
Gusty winds blowing snow may also impact visibility.
Cadillac’s Department of Public Works Operations Manger Ken Payne gives drivers some advice and peace of mind for the roads tonight.
“Whether it’s parking lot plows or city plows, county plows, the state, any of them—just know we’re doing the best we can and you know when it comes in and snows as hard as it does, you can make a lap through town and when you get to the other end and come back, it doesn’t look like you’ve been there,” Payne said. “But rest assured, there’s several crew members out there working right around the clock and will be for the next couple of days I’m sure.”
Payne also suggests to avoid driving tonight, if not needed.
