Suspect Arrested For Threat Against Lake City Schools

A juvenile suspect has been arrested after a threat was made through social media against Lake City Schools, according to the Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office,  a deputy assigned to Lake City Schools became aware of a social media threat against the school.

Deputies say school officials were made aware of the threat, and an investigation began.

Based on evidence and investigative leads, Missaukee County deputies and detectives were able to identify a suspect. They say the suspect was located at their home and was arrested shortly after 6 p.m. Friday.

Deputies say the suspect was turned over to juvenile authorities.

The Sheriff’s Office states the investigation will be submitted to the Missaukee County Prosecutor for charges, and remains on-going.
