Sault Ste. Marie Woman Arrested for OWI, Possession of Methamphetamine

A 47-year-old Sault Ste. Marie woman was arrested Thursday for possession of methamphetamine and operating while intoxicated.

A trooper from the Michigan State Police Sault Ste. Marie Post made a traffic stop of a vehicle for traffic and equipment violations on Seymour Road near 3 Mile Road in Soo Township around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

After making contact with the driver, Delia Lavictor of Sault Ste. Marie, she was believed to be operating the vehicle while under the influence. An investigation by troopers on the scene resulted in Lavictor’s arrest. She was lodged in the Chippewa County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and operating while intoxicated.

Lavictor was arraigned in a Chippewa County court on Friday. Her bond was set at $1,000 cash bond with conditions and is due back in court on December 16.
