Michigan health officials are reporting 18,443 coronavirus cases and 277 deaths since Wednesday.
According to the MDHHS, between Thursday and Friday, the average number of new cases per day is approximately 9,222.
Additionally, they say 169 of the 277 deaths reported Friday were identified during a review of vital records.
In total, Michigan has had 1,336,566 confirmed coronavirus cases and 24,367 total confirmed covid-related deaths.
As of Friday, 5,235,517 Michiganders ages five and older have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Additionally, 6,133,203 Michiganders ages 16 and older have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
Furthermore, as of Nov. 23, 1,090,933 Michiganders are reported to have recovered from the virus.
