Gladwin Man Injured In Clare County Crash

A 43-year-old Gladwin man was injured in a crash in Clare County, according to the Clare County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday around 12 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a two vehicle injury crash on Beaverton Road east of Hoover in Sheridan Township.

According to deputies, they learned that a white Buick Rendezvous driven by a 31-year-old Gladwin man was travelling East on Beaverton Road when it crashed into the rear of a horse drawn buggy.

They say the buggy was occupied by a 43-year-old Gladwin man who was traveling East in front of the Buick.

Deputies say the driver of the buggy was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and alcohol is not a factor in the crash.

It is important to note that, in an update released Friday afternoon, the Clare County Sheriff’s Office stated that the horse is okay.

The crash remains under investigation by the Clare County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Crash Investigation Unit.
