Three Big Rapids Men Arrested On Multiple Felonies

Three men from Big Rapids were arrested Tuesday for multiple felonies, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday, deputies from Mecosta, Montcalm, Isabella, and Newaygo Counties, along with officers from the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety, Agents from the FBI, 6th District MSP Intelligence Analyst, and the Central Michigan Enforcement Team, conducted a child trafficking sting in Big Rapids Township in Mecosta County.

They say all three suspects, Randall Pion, 26, Jeremy Ostrander, 25 and Austin Donley, 27, all of Big Rapids, traveled to a Big Rapids Township location with the intentions of having sexual intercourse with a minor.

The Sheriff’s Office says all three men were arrested and lodged at the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office on multiple felonies.

The trio were arraigned Thursday in the 77th District Court on multiple charges.

Randall Pion was arraigned for two felonies: accosting a minor for immoral purposes, and computer used in the commission of a felony. He remains in custody in Mecosta County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Jeremy Ostrander was arraigned on three felonies: accosting a minor for immoral purposes, computer used in the commission a felony, and resisting/obstructing/assaulting police. He remains in custody in Mecosta County Jail on a $125,000 bond.

Austin Donley was arraigned on five felonies: accosting a minor for immoral purposes, computer used in the commission a felony, resisting/obstructing/assaulting police, felony firearms – count one, and felony firearms – count two.  He remains in custody in Mecosta County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

The Sheriff’s Office says all three men remain innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
